FAQs

TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

What does “Positive, Practical & Persistent” training mean?

We use reward-based methods that build trust and clarity. “Positive” reinforces the behaviors you want. “Practical” focuses on real-world skills that matter in everyday life. “Persistent” means guiding you toward simple habits that ensure long-lasting results.

Do you use force-free training methods?

Yes. We never rely on fear or intimidation. Our approach strengthens the bond between you and your dog through clear, kind communication.

TRAINING PACKAGES & SERVICES

Which training package is right for my dog?

Pressing Problem – Targeted help for one main issue (jumping, barking, pulling, etc.).

Consistent Canine – A full manners and obedience foundation.

Bark & Beyond – Premium, concierge-style support for busy owners.

Perfect Puppy Retainer – Ongoing seasonal guidance for raising a well-adjusted puppy.

If you’re not sure where to start, we’ll help you choose the best fit.

How long are sessions, and how many do I need?

Most sessions run 60–90 minutes. We outline a clear, tailored plan during your first appointment so you know exactly what to expect.

Do you work with puppies only or adult dogs as well?

Both. Puppies are our specialty, but we also support adult dogs needing manners, socialization, or behavior refinements.

LOGISTICS & HOUSE CALLS

Do you come to my home?

Yes — all training takes place in your home, your yard, your neighborhood, or any environment where the behavior actually occurs.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Sonoma County. If you’re outside the service radius, contact us — we may be able to accommodate with a small travel fee. You’ll know all the details before scheduling.

BEHAVIOR & EXPECTATIONS

What behaviors can you help with?

We work on:

• Leash manners

• Potty training

• Barking

• Jumping

• Nipping/biting

• Anxiety and confidence building

• Puppy socialization

• Household manners

• Enrichment and mental stimulation

If it affects daily life, we’re here to help.

How quickly will I see results?

Many families see improvements after the first session. Long-term success depends on consistency, your dog’s history, and your home routines — but we give you actionable steps every visit.

What’s expected of me during the training process?

Simply show up, stay consistent, and practice the exercises we teach. You don’t need perfection — just a willingness to build new habits.

NUTRITION & WHOLE-DOG SUPPORT

Why do you include nutritional coaching?

Diet influences energy, behavior, and mental clarity. We help you choose a species-appropriate diet that supports training, health, and long-term well-being.

Do I need to switch foods or buy special supplements?

Not unless you want to. We evaluate what you currently feed and offer recommendations tailored to your dog’s needs and your lifestyle.

BOOKING & POLICIES

How do I book a training session?

Use the contact form, call, or email us. We’ll help you select the right package and schedule your first session.

What is your cancellation policy?

We appreciate advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Full policy details are provided at booking.

Do you offer support after completing a training program?

Yes. Many families continue with tune-ups, seasonal refreshers, or our Perfect Puppy Retainer for long-term success.
